Redline

Outrun the Choir. Stop moving and the swarm catches up.

When the Scourge cuts the lanes and chokes the comms between holdouts, the message still has to get through — so you carry it on foot, faster than the horde can close. The current playable prototype follows a Pyre courier first; the full target adds the Warden courier identity once the speed loop is strong enough to carry both creeds.

Speed beats omniscience

The massed Scourge is near-omniscient, but its coordination has a tempo. Hold full redline and you outpace the swarm before it can cut you off.

Lanes as racecourses

Chain ramps, rail-grinds, and breach-debris boost pads through collapsing chokepoints to reach the next holdout before the gate closes.

The road turns on you

Chitin over the asphalt, spore-walls blooming across the lane, Render-class horrors at the junctions, and repeater-pylons that drag your redline down.

  • Dies fast but builds relentless pressure through sheer mass.

It used to be a soldier. The parasite kept everything but the hesitation.

  • Charges the nearest fortified position in a dead-straight line — no flanking, no hesitation, no ranged attack.
  • Armored leading carapace eats your opening volley; breach nodes at the seams glow as a health cue.
  • At half health it purges its restraint organelles and enrages — speed and ferocity spike, nodes burst, raw tissue runs blood-hot.
Rot-Engine sprite

Rot-Engine

It plants its feet and melts your defenses from across the field.

  • Plants at the edge of your tower line and holds; near-impossible to stagger or knock back.
  • The bile lance corrodes armor and walls from standoff range — artillery, not a charger.
  • Ignores infantry to keep grinding structures, forcing defenders out of cover into the swarm.
